Simple, but dont know how to do it

I have 2 tables. Table "A" has 4 fields: ClientID, BANK, NUMBER and USED. Table "B" has several fields, ClientID and NUMBER among others.

NUMBER (on table A) refers to cheque numbers that are still available (USED fields are unchecked)

What I need to do is to auto assign available NUMBERS from table A to table B, according to ClientID. Of course, there is the possibility that CliendID repeats here and there in Table B.

Hello.

Could you please elaborate on what you call "assign available NUMBERS"?
Does it mean ...

• ... record with particular user and first avilable number has to be added to Table B?
• ... Table B already has a record where User is defined and Number is empty?
• ... something else ?

Additionally. Does Table B store all Numbers used or Number could be used without correspondent record to appear in Table B?
