    Access automation and InfoPath

Here's the low-down - We have an Access 2003 database that tracks employees, including when their reviews are due. The supervisors fill out a paper form and turn it in to an office worker, who enters the data back into the database.

What I'd like to do is to have Access email an InfoPath '03 form to the supervisor for the review, leaving the middleman in this scenario available to get other work done. I'm an Access guru but a total n00b at InfoPath, so I'm not too sure how to go about this. After I create the form template, can Access automate sending a copy to the supervisor?

Well, now that my company is looking at moving to Office 2007, it looks like I might be able to do this using the feature in Access 2007 which enables the database to collect data directly using a template sent out via Outlook email.

I'm a noob on infopath myself but I would guess that assuming infopath could store/export the form data in csv format it could be referenced by Access. Let us know if you find out any more about this.

InfoPath actually connects directly to the database, which is why I was looking at it in the first place. The problem is with emailing a particular recordset to a particular person. I still can't see how to do that using InfoPath, so I'm hoping that the data collection email feature I've read about in Access '07 will do it.
