I am using Access 2003 at work and had created a summary report showing the financial information for year to date. As of last week the report ran great. Today I was asked to make a change in the report and to show the percentage now with 2 decimal points. I made the change and now I can't get the report to open. It will only open in design view. The error message I get states to exclusive rights to the database. I have checked in the query and nothing has really changed. This database is linked to Sharepoint.
I can see all the information for the report in the query but when I try to run the report it won't let me open the report up. I can get the report to run for just one client at a time but not for all the clients and I was able to run a report with all clients just last week. I can get the percentage to work fine with the 2 decimal points. So not sure what is causing the problem. I have also tried creating another database with the same information and it still won't let me open the report up using the same information.
Also I should mention that my boss unknowingly showed another dept head the calculation formula used in share point to get this percentage rate. The database is linked to share point if that helps with the answer. The fear is that this dept head has done something or had someone else create another database and has now locked me out of the database to run this specific report. If anyone can help I will greatly appreciate it.
