Viewing this NG in a browser

I've been viewing this NG in my browser (both IE & Firefox) for years
    & never had a problem.

However, off-late during the past 1 year, at times I get a thick 2-
inch-wide vertical band on the left side of the page containing the
foll information: Discussions, About this group, Subscribe to this
group, Active older topics, Related Groups, etc.

This makes it very difficult for me to read the messages posted.

Has anyone ever faced this problem ?

Could someone please help me ?

    Thx & Best Rgds,
    Prakash.

Usually this thick vertical band containing ... Discussions -New
Post - Sponsored Links, etc. comes on the right hand side of the
browser page as it is right now. But this keeps on changing to the
    left for no explicable reason.

Just wondering if anyone else has faced this problem ?

    Best Rgds,
    Prakash.

Not much help from another victim I am afraid.
Happened to me couple of times and didn't leave me any place rather
      than re-installing windows.
Checking your thread to see how stupid I was. So far so good :)

        Thanks for responding.

Well ... I've 5 pc's at my house including my laptop which runs Vista.
The other 4 pc's run XP-Pro. The problem exists in all of them. I'm
dead sure no spyware or malware exists on any of them as I re-install
& re-format pc's for many of my clients & this problem exists even on
        new pc's.

It seems hard to accept that no one has faced this problem. It's very
disconcerting & irritating. This vertical band just seems to block out
the threads from the left side vertically, making the threads
        virtually unreadable.

Would any other "sufferer's " please add on their inputs. Thank heavens
at least one person has responded with the same problem. I was
beginning to think I'm all alone in this boat.

        Best Rgds,
        Prakash.

The problem isn't your pc. The Google programmers sometimes work on the
Google Group web pages, but they put it back the way it was when they're
finished testing. If the web pages are messed up, use a different interface
while they're testing. Many other sites post your messages to this same
          group.

Are you promoting AccessMonster?, I note that AccessMonster displays
two posts (Can we use dynamic queries on SQL-SERVER without ADO and
without a persistent ODBC Connection?) I recently made in CDMA. These
were not made in response to a post in AccessMonster, nor has anyone
from AccessMonster responded to them. In fact, the whole thread is
comprised of my two posts only.
I'm looking for an indication in AccessMonster that these posts
originated in CDMA, were not intended for AccessMonster, and have
nothing to do with AccessMonster. I can't find any such indication.
Why? It's one thing to post public messages. It's another thing not to
credit them. Would someone not familiar with newsgroups, CDMA, and
AccessMonster think that these posts had been made to AccessMonster? I
believe he/she could. Might that encourage him/her to register as a
              member with AccessMonster?
Moving right along I find that to respond to my CDMA post in
AccessMonster I must register! The implication is that AccessMonster
now controls the ideas that I have posted.
I think this is unethical and I think that you should NOT promote
              AccessMonster here in CDMA.
