I have searched the web forums, and can't seem to find an answer to this particular problem I have.
In an excel sheet, cells in one column have formatted text in the "wrapped" cells. For many of the cells it is far more than 256 char.
After import to Access, the carriage return (CR) and Line Feed (LF) is shown with a square symbol in the text, and the text is just "dumped" into the field without CR or LF. Have also tried to indentify the "square symbol", which obvoiusly is related to "chr(13) & chr(10)". Sometimes I also see CR as this character: | . Linking the excel or importing have no effect what so ever, and running an append query is not helping.
I have tried many sorts of ways to keep the formatting, but have been forced to manually copy each cell by select and paste into access. The paste is then done in a form with a memo field.
Is there a friendly soul out there that can help me to figure out how to maintain the "wrapped text" formatting from Excel, after import to Access?
(by formatting I only refer to CR and empty line changes. Never mind the fonts, bullits etc)
