Run access query silently - access not installed on computer

Hi,

I have an access query. Currently it runs fine except now I would like it to run silently. I set task scheduler to run it as needed. However, I need to have it run silently without having it display the macro warning.

I have seen other posts and it seems that you can disable the warning within access. My only issue is this particular computer does not have access installed. Does anyone know how I can run the access query from the command line?

How are you running Access if it is not installed to the client computer? Is it running from a network folder?

The only way I can think of to do what you want is to have the database open all the time and then run the query every so often based on the form timer.

If you set your security to low (not really recommended), it might allow you to open the database without any message boxes.

The first method will work for sure. The second way may work.

I don't know all about command-line switches, but you can certainly open a database from the command-line.

That done, you can configure a Form (Tools / Startup Options) to be run automatically. From here any code can be run, including code to call a query to run.
