Hiding Access Options on the Office Button

    Hiding Access Options on the Office Button

    I'm building an application using A2K7 and I need to be able to hide
    the navigation pane from my users. That's easy. I just hide it using
    Access options and then disable special keys so they can't bring it up
    using F11.

    But what good does that do me if the users can just click on the
    Office Button and then Access Options and reverse those settings? Not
    much, but I can't seem to find a way to hide the Access Options
    button. I know I can customize the ribbons and the Office Button
    menus, but can I hide the Access Options button?

      There may be other ways of achieving this, but I've found that the
      IDBE Ribbon Creator does the trick. As well as creating ribbons, it
      removes the stuff from the Office Button that you don't want your
      users accessing. Google for it. It's available as a trial and is
      cheap to purchase. Hope this helps.

          Looks interesting, thanks. But even after looking at the website I'm
          not sure if it will remove the Access Options button. I know it can be
          used to customize the Office Button menu, but does that extend to
          "Access Options"?

          There may be other ways of achieving this, but I've found that the

              Best way is to download the trial and have a play. What I'm seeing on
              the Office button in an app that I've used this on is:

              "New", "Open" and "Close Database" buttons down the left and "Exit
              Access" on the bottom right. Nothing else. It also removes the user's
              ability to customise the Quick Access Toolbar. The only options left
              for it are "Show Below The Ribbon" and "Minimize The Ribbon".
