    Operating System not presently configured

    Hi,
Application shipped with 2007 Run Time environment, installs and works fine on my machine - but on the first install on another machine get the above error message. Application installs OK. What settings do we have to change in Windows XP for it to run. 2nd machine is not running 2007, but I am under the impression it doesn't need to.

It does not matter if they are running Office 2007. I have installed Access Runtime 2007 on numerous machines without problems. Eah mchine running different Office installs.

I would first make sure you have SP2 of XP installed (SP2 is needed for Access 2007).

Next try running 'repair' from the original Office CD.

Other than that you might try completely uninstalling their version of Office (use the Office Resource kit available from M$ and run the remove wizard) After removing everything manually delete any left over files and directories of Office. Then do a clean install of Office.

Try these suggestions and also give us more details as to the configuration of the machine you are trying to install on.

    cheers,
