access on the web w/api?

i am considering using data entry by the web portion of access. However, as i am unfamiler with the proces, i am wondering if it is possible to use api calls (specifically obtain windows logged on username) while getting data entry from the access/web portion? any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Have no idea about the web, but from Access

Environ("Userna me")

will retrieve the Windows logon name.
